I'm looking for ideas on ways to attach the forward corners of the roof to the roll bar without drilling into the roll bar. On several occasions I had tree branches wedged between the roof and the roll bar that could have damaged the roof. There is a 1.5 inch gap between the two on my machine. I would like to install some kind of sharp edge vertically between the roof and the bar that would sheer off the branches so they can't get caught between the two, and secure the roof at the same time. Do you have any ideas for some off the shelf items I could use for that?

It's happened to me about every time I hit the woods. And like you I think it had flexed the plastic up a bit. After installing the light bar I thought about using another set of mounts to hold down the front corners. The question is which ones. They make them lots of ways. These are what I used up front but had to...adjust the rubber a bit because the bar is closer to 1.75"..actualy closer to 1.66"

Might be OK but kinda thick. These are thinner but you need to add some extra rubber. I used these on the rear light:

It may not look as good, but you could just use U-bolts around the bar and up through the plastic. You could cut the bolts off even with the nuts and put those little rubber covers over the nuts.

If you are running into a problem with the branches then you need something like what is pictured here.  They lift branches and brush up over the roof line.  A couple clamps like NMKawierider posted and some cable and you are all set.

Funny...I was thinking about "limb lifters" and how I could have the mounts in place and cables in storage for when needed. :)

I drilled 2small holes and used a heavy duty zip tie.
