After breaking this several times I finally came up with a good fix.  I welded a couple of pieces of metal to the top and bottom of the arm that holds the tie rod.

I've had this in place for about 600 miles now and it's holding strong.  This part in my opinion is way under-engineered and should have been made something like this in the first place.

Sorry I didn't plan on posting this because I didn't know if it would work so I didn't take pictures before and during the process but I think you can get the idea.  I'm a pretty inexperienced welder but I think I got the job done.

It worked for me maybe it will work for you too. I've seen several posts of people breaking this same part.

Oh boy, that looks like a parts failure that would defy a trailside fix.  Did it leave you stranded? I don't think I've heard about this particular part breaking before this post. Good beef-up though.

A lot of the newer..ie 2018+s have had the arm bend and even brake off. None of ours have as of yet...that is the 2014-2017s that I know of.
