Changed my fluids about 3 weeks ago.  Noticed the front diff fluid was milky.  I flushed the best I could with new fluid.  Obviously water is getting in somewhere.  I will recheck this weekend to see if it is still milky. 

Anyone else experience this.  Maybe water got in through a breather hose?

If it is, I will be calling the dealer.

Well, just checked the fluid.  It was milky again.  Guess I will be calling the dealer tomorrow.   

Here are some pics, had some metal on the plug.

Metal on the plug is going to be normal, as long as the shavings arent large pieces.

Milky diff tells me you have a blown seal.

Just talked to dealer.  Since the diff is not leaking fluid, the seals are good.  He told me to check the breather hose coming out of the diff.  He said this is not uncommon.  He said to mix 1/2 kerosene and diff fluid and run it, then drain it.  Do this 3 times and it should be clear. 

He said the breaker hose may have come off or it is not long enough.  I do not run in deep water.

Mixed the Kero and diff fluid and changed the fluid 3 times. Checked the breather hose and all looked good.

I did disconnect it and blow it out. Was dirty inside.

I am thinking water was getting in when I was washing it. The way the hose was facing, the hose probably gave it a direct hit.  We will see how it goes in a week or so.

Are you sh*t'n me! They just ran the breather up and stop it right there like that? At the very least it should have a turn to face it back down..like a snorkel. Maybe just make on out of some 1/4" copper tube. We all better check ours

Or a longer hose and run it up higher on the frame and circle it and back down again.

Ditto on Murdo's comment. Loop the hose back down

Already did.   

Hopefully soon I'll work on snorkeling mine to avoid all this stuff.
