I haven't had a chance to do my clutch work yet. I do notice a power loss after going to 30s, but not much. It pulls the 30s pretty well in stock form. I can even sling the rear end around a little when I have some mud. I haven't tried doing donuts with them, though. With the right clutch work, it should be able to rip it up with them. Also keep in mind, my tire and wheel combo weights about 54 lbs. each, with 1.75" tread. Some 30s are a lot lighter with less tread.

That is my concern is weight. Rotational mass is very hard on axles and CV joints! I like the idea of the added clearance and a lot of the tires you have in that size are very aggressive which would look badass but I don't plan on making this machine a trailer queen so to speak! We do ride a lot and I don't want to be out on a trail in the middle of nowhere and strip some splines or break and cv if I get hung up on something!

Zillas and Mudlites are lighter than my tires. Also there are other more trail oriented tires in the 30" range.

I put 12" ITP ss212's on my 800ex and they fit perfect

I prefer 12"rims too. But, I had to go with 14", because my tires only come in 14" and they are the tires I decided I wanted. I would like to have the same thing in 32" later.

What is the back spacing on your rims? I like the looks of those on the zforce and a 28" combo would be in my price range....

From 26s to 27s there is sure to be some speedo difference but I don't notice it in my riding. With the 25g rollers and 27-30" tires I suggest the B2 position. With 26-27s at lower elevations the A1 or C1 will be a great choice. The B1 is the lightest position and frankly, I don't know why the factory sets them there except it keeps the RPMs & power levels as low as possible. Makes the Z more like the family stationwagon IMO.
Where can I find some more info on changing the clutch setup on the zforce 800? Plan on going to a 27" tire.
