Strip down is nearly complete, took a few hours work to make a tool to hold the secondary, just the wet clutch to sort out now.
I'm  a little concerned as nothing looks worn or broken but the secondary is looking very dry with brown rusty powder around the moving part's especially around where the C-clip is, I'm going to fit the new parts and clean up the rusty parts and fingers crossed it will be ok.
The more I look into her engine and other parts I'm surprized so may people have major problems with their Cf Moto's, mine look's fairly well made to me.

Will do, one thing I have noticed is the big spring in the secondary has been rubbing the "boss" on the inner sheve.

Might just flip the spring. It'll give you a chance to clean it all up anyway.

I take it the nut on the crank shaft undoes in the same direction as the nuts on the CVT pulley's

Minimal wear to wet clutch, going to fit the new one anyway and keep the old one for a spare

Yeah..that looks really good. That means the bell is also in good shape and you don't let it slip much. Nice!

As the other parts look in great condition I think the noise may have come from  the spring rubbing the boss on the sheave. This pulley is the next thing for striping, inspection and cleaning

I also changed the secondary to the C1 setting which seems to work very well with std size tyres ;D
