Clutch settings Questions Also OD Weights
« on: July 06, 2016, 07:33:04 AM »
So last weekend I took my clutch apart and changed from B1 to B2.  I feel like I lost some acceleration (no idea on top end as I did not test that).  I cant tell if its upshifting to soon and not letting the motor pull in its power band or what?   Any thoughts on this?  Also can anyone point me to a chart on what the individual clutch settings will do.  All I have seen is the rotation in degrees but no real "what to expect" from each setting.  If there is nothing out there I can make something but I need you guys to chime in and help me with it.

I was also thinking of going to OD weights on this machine as I had great success with them before.  Any suggestion on OD weight weights? Also we ran ours in grease (even though they are called grease-less) because we saw better performance when we did.  However I dont think that is possible on the CF Moto because there is no "greases hat" to keep the grease from slinging out and just making a HUGE mess in the clutch/belt housing.

Thanks in advance guys
I can imagine a world completely at peace.  A world where there are no weapons, no war, and no violence at all.  And I can imagine us taking over that world because they would never expect it.

When I first changed mine to B2 with just the tire change, it was too much. It felt like the ratio was too low for the weight..kinda like the feeling you get from going from a 3:50/1 rear end to a 4:10. So I changed it to C1 which was perfect, like the feeling of dropping to a 3:73 from 3:50. After adding the extra 80lbs of skid plates and doors it was sluggish so I went back to B1. That helped a lot but the extra weight is noticeable. I use a 22gram slider because of my elevation. They help plant the RPMs better in the power band.
