Bighorns
« on: December 06, 2019, 10:49:04 AM »
Spent some bucks and put Bighorns on the Z.  I looked at a LOT of different tires, and just kept coming back to these.

When I had them mounted, I had them balanced and had the tire guy use bead sealer.  They seem to be holding air pretty well.

Also, I went to check my toe and it seems I was toe in well over an inch.  I'm not sure how the heck I did that, but that might have contributed to my really bad wear problem, mostly on the right front tire.  I strongly recommend having your fronts balanced, it really takes any shake out.  I bought the stick-on kind from Harbor Freight and I don't think they'll get knocked off.

Great looking tire.

Nice. BH's are known for their long life too. Yeah I found mine was over 3/4" toe-in as well. I like it with just enough that it doesn't go past zero under hard braking so I keep it at about 3/16". My Reapers have a bad shake but its that they are out of round so not sure a balance can fix that...but it's annoying enough that I might give it a try. The tires still have 90% of their tread so I have a long ways to go before getting new ones.
