Has anyone tried using a bluetooth speaker like the ones below? If so any negatives about it really. I was looking at them at Academy sports yesterday they seem built well and would work for camping and other things. Figured I would mount it in the rear storage area and control volume with my phone.

The first one says battery life is 2hrs
And one review says less than 2hrs at very low volume.
2nd one is 50hrs of battery life 😯

I used a ue boom speaker. You can use a 1/4-20 stud to mount it. It has a threaded hole on the one side. I think I posted it here somewhere. Sits on a mount on the cage under the roof. Sounds good and the battery lasts a long time.

I bought the boss 800 watt Bluetooth for eBay. Works awesome. Sounds good. And it's loud. Going down the trail with Stomping Tom Conners blasting makes the ride all that much better!!

What a thought! Hauling down the roadbed of the old Newfie Bullet and rocking out to Bud the Spud, that's the life!  8) Sign me up.

I use this, 108.00 on Amazon, water resistant with a rechargeable 30 hour playback, compact, good volume, can power other usb devices or audio input, also fm radio built in

I'm not sure what happened the first time but here it is again.
I didn't like anything pre fab on the market so I made my own. Some 6" pvc, a 240W amp, a pair of jvc marine speakers and a boss Bluetooth controller. All together about $200 after all the wire and everything. About $80 of that is the pvc. But it's VERY loud. I even had a guy comment he could here it over his in his rzr behind me. And he has a couple 6x9 mounted under the roof and a sub under the dash. It didn't seem that loud to me at the time but a was on like beer 5 and a good song came on, so I was jamming out!

For me it is totally useless to install a audio system in a atv.. Cant hear the darn thing anyway over the whine of the atv..lol Now wearing head phones would be a different story..

Building your own is the way to go. Not hearing it over the atv is the biggest complaint I found on all the prefab units. And being a music lover I new that wasn't going to fly. But I can easily hear mine over the atv even at 40+ mph. and I made it completely removable so I can take it off when I don't need it. Like hunting and what not. I just ratchet strap it on when we go to the atv park.
