I don't know of any real differences between the two years however..supposedly..every three months or so the heads meet and discuss problems with each line. Any "legitimate" clear problem is correct on the line immediately, although it did take an ordainment amount of time to correct the thermoswitch and suspension bushing problems. That aside and with this as a guideline, "the newer..the better". It's early, but from what I can gauge so far with the 2018s, there does seem to be less posted/reported customer issues.
