12x7 Rims For 800 Trail?
« on: May 10, 2021, 03:13:35 PM »
Is it possible to run 12x7 rims on the 800 Trail?
Is anyone currently running 12" rims?
Just curious because someone is selling 12" rims with 28x10 tires that i'm interested in buying.

Thank you.

Some that have tried said either the brake caliper rubbed or the shock against the rim. Others didn't have a problem but none specified what offset they used...so I'm guessing it may be a matter of offset, although that shouldn't matter much with the caliper. Borrow two-one front and one rear and try it before buying. One other thing to keep in mind is that CFM wheels are thinner then any one else's..except for steel wheels, and as such CFM makes their wheel studs a little shorter. May only be 5 or 6 mm but its quite a few threads less to grip. Also make sure they are lug-centric..ie they use tapered lugs.
