My thoughts after 5000 miles
« on: August 01, 2023, 06:48:41 AM »
As stated, these are my thoughts. I don't expect everyone to agree.

First, I don't care if my cruise control ever works. I didn't buy it for that reason and to be honest I find it silly that it was ever fitted to this machine.

I don't look at my instrument cluster while riding other than to check the engine temp intermittently. I've noticed it flickering between 1st and 6th gear every time I ride (once again, just keeping an eye on operating temp with a glance).

I had previously been very excited for the release of the 450ss... not anymore...

Why? I can't deny the feel of my 700 sport. It fits ME like a glove. I love the moderate power and the sound that ramps up from the intake in a furious rush. Yes, my machine generates smiles every time I ride. I'm enamored by it. But....

CFMOTO doesn't seem to care about it's customer base. I was expecting a recall, ecu reflash? parts swap? whatever it takes to make this machine operate in it's entirety and as intended. Nope.... Seems that isn't happening. If CFMOTO refuses to acknowledge this problem, what problems will I have to look forward to that they also choose to ignore? As I said... LOVE the ride. But no, no 450ss for me. I won't commit to this company again. I guess I'll be purchasing a Ninja 400 next. I've lost faith in this company's business practices. If you are trying to grow a customer base, it starts by taking care of the customer. Seems pretty simple to me.

Rant over. See y'all on the street. Ride safe.

Thanks for the review, all valid points. My gear selection has started to get wonky on the display as well. I am still enjoying the bike I have about 3000 miles on it.

I love the bike but it’s starting to have the same problem as everyone else and it’s annoying.
