Righto where to start......Our 625-3 stalled while coasting downhill a few weeks ago and doesn't want to start since, it cranks but wont start. Things I've done / checked since: Charged battery, checked all fuses and relays, checked kill switch, replaced ignition switch, plug has spark, fuel pump runs and has 40PSI pressure, new fuel filter, injector has pulse and injects, compression is good. Fault code shows P0650. I'm lost, does anyone have any idea what it could be? Kind regards, Geoff

I take that back...here is the service manual for your machine (be sure to download it) and it doesn't list PO650 as one of it's fault codes.

I does say something similar in the service manual, do you think that that's the culprit even though it has fuel and spark?

Will it run with starter fluid?

We recently had someone with similar symptoms that had a broken head. Might be worth popping off the valve cover and taking a look. Look for a jumped or loose chain, or broken cap-ends.

Looks like the timing chain has jumped, will have to investigate a bit more. Do these have issues with their tensioners?

A while back the 800s had issues with tensioners and..chain and cam sprocket mismatch.
