Shiny New Stuff for the Z6
« on: August 14, 2015, 08:33:52 PM »
I thought it would be good to start a thread with vendors for Z6 accessories, as I'm sure there are plenty of people out there looking for stuff.  Here's my list of places to look:

http://www.superatv.com/ Our forum's supporting vendor, so it's good to support them, but I don't think they have anything Z6 specific.  Plenty of their universal stuff could probably be adapted though, and that universal power steering kit is intriguing.  I'm sure their light bars could we wired in as easily as on any other machine.

http://www.sidebysidestuff.com/ These guys do actually have a number of Z6 specific accessories, most notably a full FOLDING windshield, which I am drooling over.

http://www.scapdoors.com/  Doors for the 600!

http://www.ironbaltic.com/ironbaltic_home/  Iron Baltic offers a good skid plate, as well as mounting kits for snow plows, and the plows themselves.  They also have a winch mounting kit, not sure why you'd need it though, as the Z6 comes with a winch.

http://www.electronicjetkit.com/  EJK makes an EFI controller specific to the Z6 if you want to adjust your fuel/air mixture.

I believe that the Camoplast/Camso T4S track system can be mounted on a Z6, but I think you'll need to talk to a Camoplast dealer; their website isn't real great for just selecting a part for a particular vehicle and trying to order it.

Airdam will do whatever it is that they do to your clutch, if you pull it off and ship it to them, or you could probably order a full clutch from them.  My guess is that they just tune it for whatever modifications you've done, but I don't really know that much about it.

CF MOTO Canada's website lists doors, brush bumpers, a tilting windshield, and a fender flare kit, I think you could probably talk to your US dealer about special ordering them, but I'm not sure on the specifics of getting them if you're not in Canada.  I'm sure it could be done though.

That's everything I know about, feel free to chime in if you know of anything else!

I have the iron Baltic skid plate set. It's a nice set and has already saved the underside from damage. The guys who are there are very easy to deal with should you have a problem.

Anyone know if any of the z8 accessories will fit the z6? Like aluminum roof doors anything? Can find more for the z8 than the z6. I'm getting ready to make a roof and contemplating trying my hand at doors but would rather just buy a set. Or maybe if doors for the rzr will fit? I was looking at a set of doors and it looked like they might just have to take the safety bar out but idk

I don't think the rzr doors will fit. My buddy has one and side by side they look different enough to be a headache to fit a set. Bearchow did find a set made for the z6. I also thought about making a set too. I came to the decision that I lacked the proper equipment and experience to do a good job without losing my mind. The roof could be easier and if you want to make something yourself, might be a good project. As to the z8 stuff fitting, I have no idea. The z8 is just more popular than the z6. I would have bought one if they offered the narrow version when I was shopping for a sxs. The manufacturers are just trying to cater to the many.

It's unlikely that the z8 stuff will be a direct bolt up, you'd probably end up cutting and/or welding.  Both the chassis and roll cage are different on the z8.  If you've got the cash to buy a set instead of making them, then I'd just get the scap doors and be done with it.

I really like the scap doors just hard to fork over that kinda money for a set of doors us know. Owell looks like I'll just have to save my penny's. I plan to make a roof for mine in the next couple of weeks if I like what I come up with I'll post some pictures.

If you want something basic, some guys just use thin plastic 1/8". They just lay it over the top and rivit or cable tie it down.

Iv got the factory cfmoto one right now but I don't like it at all. Mainly just don't like the big hump in the rear of it and I really like the aluminum or even diamond plate aluminum ones

I guess it's just a matter of personal taste.  I always liked the factory one, I thought the way it sloped up might come in handy if I wanted to make some sort of cargo rack to hang from the top of the cage.  That way I'd have plenty of space to mount a fire extinguisher or a camelbak or something.  Might be a good spot for a first aid kit as well.

I have to have someone sit on the back when putting it in my enclosed trailer otherwise the hump hits.

Ok, yeah, that would be a problem.  Don't blame you there at all.

For lights, I almost got a pair of these 4.3" round ones, but I was at the shop in person and they had a little five or six inch bar that I bought instead, less wiring that way.  Was also a bit cheaper.

You may have to put a dab of silicone where the wiring enters the housing to keep it sealed, but I haven't had any problems with it, and the price was reasonable.
