I usually ride my 625-3/Z-6 in the highlands of Bolivia, and however I snorkeled the Engine intake and the CVT intake and exhaust also; I keep feeling that the CVT cover runs very hot; so I have been guessing how to force fresh air into the CVT, not just the natural "aspirated" from the Snorkel system.

So I have been wondering if the air flow from the Engine RH side Fan could be deviated instead of flowing freely over the engine muffler, but into the CVT, it seems to be enough space to pass a pipe from RH to LH of the body; below the engine exhaust pipe and to the CVT intake (rear).

I guess that the admission to the Fan should be snorkeled as well with a filter and to preclude overheat in the muffler: wrap it with exhaust pipe heat wrap tape.

How this is just an idea, I ask for your thoughts about.

I was thinking that if my temp gauge indicated it was necessary, I would try a CVT in-line blower to either posh or pull air through it when needed. Even something like one of these either this 3" or a 2" version would be easy and cheap enough to consider.

Where do you get the indication of CVT temp? The 625-3/Z-6 do not have any sensor. Does the 800/Z-8 have indication?

Aside, I do not want to be adding more weight to the 625-3 but to use all the resources that the same machine have. I ever believed that this fan blower is totally useless.

I installed a Trail Tech CVT temp gauge. There is a write-up in the How To section. I have not had a chance to test it out yet except around the yard.

As I understand it, CFM had some problems with fires a while back from heat buildup and added these blowers to move air around the engines. Not sure about using it for something else. Think I'll leave mine alone

One of those Attwood blowers on the outlet should make a difference to the amount of air moving through the housing.

I looked at them. I decided that it would restrict and not help. Some fellows did test them and found they did little to help MPG also.

Yeah I bought one years ago, never installed. Was afraid of a fin breaking off and sucked into the engine of my Nissan. But just to make air move for cooling I'm wondering if it would benefit.

They have little or nor restriction as is...and they can only use so much air so..I wouldn't think it would make much difference. After I changed the intake tube I never got any hind of restriction again on the box so..I think it's good.
