Lift Kit for 2011 Snyper
« on: March 08, 2018, 06:00:59 PM »
Ok getting this thing sorted out finally! Big thanks to all those they gave me advice and suggestions.  Looking for recommendations for a lift kit for the 2011, I saw where someone used a RZR kit with mods, but I am looking for suggestions as to what kit should I buy and where can I get it. I understand they are a bit pricey but I believe it will be money well spent. Thanks

Just make sure it is a bracket lift and not a spring spacer lift. If it's a trail I wouldn't go more than 2 inch. Personally I wouldn't lift a trail at all I would just get as big a tire as I could fit under it.  I have a EX and I have a 2 inch bracket lift I modified from a RZR for $50. I would probably just buy a kit that kit if I were to do it again. I have 29" tires, works perfectly for my purposes

VT Sniper,

I ran the lift kits for several months but removed it due to the harsh ride. Our 600's will fit 28" tires without a lift. I have since went to a slightly longer shock and with a tiny bit of preload I now have the ride height I was looking for.

Coloradocrawler,
I read your posts on the shocks. You went with the shocks out of a Wildcat right?  I was thinking of maybe trying that mod, I was thinking of trying to run shocks on the rear with the lift in the front. Atleast until I can afford all 4 shocks. What was the length of the rear shocks you used?
Thanks for the info

Personally I wouldnt lift it. Mine is stock height and stock tires and it went through some harsh rocky trails no problem. Used the skid plate a couple times but nothing serious. When I talked to CFMoto about my shop being a franchise dealer for them, the guy I spoke to, when I told him I owned the Z6, said that those had an issue where the driveshaft was slightly to short causing them to come out if you jumped them or anything. I will be changing my shocks soon so maybe Ill add some preload to raise it slightly but other than that I have no issues with the height...
