ground wire for starter

Looks like the manual shows the ground for the starter off of the motor it self, right next to the power  Does anyone know if this is correct?  The picture isn't exactly clear

It just shows the starter going to ground. It's grounded through its case through it's mounting bolts to the engine case. The engine case has the battery grounds..the main cable and the chassis grounds, on one of the CVT cover bolts on the 800s. May be the same with the 600s.

Just make sure the mating surfaces are clean. If you suspect a bad ground, I take a jumper cable and attach one to case and one to a good ground. See if that works

na i just rebuilt the entire motor, wanted to make sure that there wasn't anywhere specific it was meant to ground to, got it all figured out thanks y'all!  Got her all fired up today, bout 2 more hours of buttoning it up and its ready for some trails again
