I am troubleshooting a neighbors 2013 Zx6E side by side. Symptoms- starts with charger on battery, no real issues then shuts off. Will start again immediately but won't run for longer than a minute or 2. Machine sat all winter and fuel was garbage so pumped tank, added gas treatment (fuel was cloudy indicating water) and refilled with non ethanol 89oct. Same symptoms. After I left he said while running multimeter showed 11.39V so I'm thinking no charge and stator comes up in the forum as a possible issue. Before I get into major part removal I see several relays and fuses that I will check but is there anything obvious before I go further? Appreciate the help!

Put a new fully charged battery in it. It should read 12.6 or so sitting and just over 14 volts running above 2400. If this is not the case, then she probably has a stator problem..maybe a rectifier. But replace that battery first....before it takes out the ECM and it costs you dearly.

I had the same issue.  I just posted my stator replacement.  Pretty simple adventure if you're slightly handy and not afraid to get your hands dirty.
