So now that my plow is installed and I'm ready to plow this year on my 400s, I have to ask if everyone's opinion on the shifting experience is the same.
It's not overly difficult to shift from H to R, but it isn't totally simple either, and it is definitely not smooth. Is this by design, or is my shifting experience just tighter than most? It's not a show stopper by any means, but it was worth asking.

Also, when installing the cycle country mid mount, it's about 4 to 6 inches to far back in my opinion. It's not affecting the performance of the plow but I've never seen any other mount so tight.
Is this just a repercussion from using a universal mount?

As you can see in the link the plow blade itself is old and I need a new one. Not bad for a free plow, mount and push tube though.

Currently it's a 48" blade but I've always used 52"-54" in the past. Is 60" too much for this machine? I've got a couple weeks before I have to order a new one so I figured I'd get some input.

i think the shifting is preatty moyth on my 520/500s o long you dont put load on rhe gearbox for example going upp a hilk in low and stop in the hill and rol down yout i tiny bit and put load in the gerabox.   Try to adjust the gear selector. if you remov the left side you can se the gear selector rod and you can test adjust the lenght a bit and se if it helps

Just plowed the drive this morning and it overheated again with the smell of antifreeze in the air. Didnt hear the fan either. I need to do some tests when I get some time.
Frustrating.

Probably the termo switch that needs to be changed to a new one the old got som problem of youst stop working and check avery hose to be sure there is no leaks.   

You can pull the plug for the thermoswitch and jump it, if the fan comes on the thermoswitch is likely junk, known issue with CFmoto. I bought 3 when I bought mine, only had to replace it once so far tho

I just bought this one too, and it was $20 + shipping. Ugh.

Yeah I jumped it while waiting on the new one when the original one died.

Anyone have a better source for a new thermoswitch that I can try? Apparently the last source is selling the old, faulty ones.

When this happened I actually smelled antifreeze and a very small amount of steam from below the fuel tank came up through, and I heard audible sizzling noises, like it was dripping on the head or exhaust.
With the amount of plastic on these machines I couldn't see much at the time.
I've got the machine all prepped to disassemble this coming week on my time off. Hopefully it really is just that stupid thermoswitch. I'm wondering if I do indeed have a leak also. Considering changing antifreeze anyhow.

I hate hearing about engines getting this hot...especially these CFMotos. Hope all is still OK.

I immediately reacted, thankfully. I happened to be plowing at the time and was able to shutdown the second it heated up. Hopefully all is well.
