After putting a few miles on the car a few things really stand out. One of the nice things is the quiet, smooth ride. Where the 800 was constantly clicking and clattering this thing is pleasantly silent. The tires seem to make less noise too although you can break them  loose pretty much at will. But the doors leave much to be desired. Guess I'm just spoiled after Rodden's doors but I will be adding fill in panels for sure. One thing that really surprised me is the reduced economy. I'd expect a slight reduction but not a  near 50% hit. Love the power but 11mpg is a bit tough to take. My buds new 1000 seems to be about the same so I'm guessing there's nothing out of  sync.  Will have to talk to my dealer and see what they say. No problems so far so I'm pleased.  Hal

Thanks for the review. Just curious about the doors, was it a problem of mud or water getting in the open bottom part? So far I still have just the netting thing and even so I don't notice anything getting in. I wouldn't think it's providing much protection but still...

Most of the issue with the doors is the dust,  it just rolls right in. Of course we have both front and rear windows which may contribute to the dirt issues. Being open also brings the cold air in where the full doors didn't. That being said,  they fit your arm as a armrest a lot better.  Hal

That's one or two things about Rodin's doors I wish he would adjust. His...at least for me..needs a little more elbow room. The other is that I wish his would seal better. With the flip windshield down and the rear shield, a lot of dust is pulled in..literally like someone is blasting it in through the gaps with a blower. That..I might be able to do something about though.

I think the doors are a big upgrade over the netting, IMO. Nice to have a decent arm rest for those easy rides. I still wish there was more leg room, but the greater HP in the 800 chasis has its benefits. Other thoughts... it never feels like you're going to run out of power! At least not so far (there is still a lot of snow here). I'd love to see it side by side with a Razor 1000.

Tx's for the report, I've been curious. I was hoping that the suspension would have been upgraded, it would have been scary to add that much power to the 800.

Hopefully the doors are workable & solved easily.

Mileage, we need to get a WB on one of these & see what is going on with the fuel curve. My understanding is the 800 stock is near unsafe on the lean side, maybe it should be using a bit more fuel for better power & durability.

Me too, I'd have already ordered a couple of Rodin's doors but they are just so high it wouldn't be comfortable. I lay a stick across front to back where the top edge of the door would be, and it would be like sitting in a mine ore car. Some other doors are the same way too and at least one kind is even taller. Why do they do this? To have a strong enough hinge to resist distortion?
The cab is small enough, when you get a big guy in there a door has to do double duty as an arm rest.

I have Octane Ridge doors and I love them.  They are at perfect arm rest height.  The top of the door is bowed out a bit for perfect clearance inside.

Yeah my first set of doors...the home made ones..had that type of single bent at the top right where it needs to be for elbow room.

Amazingly, it didn't even need to be adjusted after that.  NMKawierider, that little bend makes a huge difference.  It's also comfortable with my arm resting on the top of the door.

Yeah..I liked the old doors especially for that reason. Rodin's doors are OK to rest my arm on top of but it's mostly because there's so little room inside...have to keep the elbow tucked all the time to keep from slamming it on a brace. That gets old.

Hey y'all, I just joined the forum and I just bought my 1000 Saturday (2-17-18).  I absolutely LOVE this thing!!!  On dry pavement, if you stomp it, it will roast the tires.  This is my first CF Moto and I'm impressed with the build quality of this thing.  I've got 30 miles on it so far.  If the rain will stop I'll make some videos and post them up.
