Loose ft axle nut
« on: May 16, 2018, 03:12:45 PM »
I jacked the front end up and noticed way to much play in the left front wheel assembly. Checking it out I found the axle nut finger tight so into the manual to check torque specs. It seems the 1000 asks for 160-180 ft lbs which seemed like a biunch. I looked in the 800 manual and its in the 60 ft lb range. Called the dealer and they gave me the 160 figure. Any thoughts here? They look to be the car so I'm a bit confused.

Yeah...go with the 160-180. That the norm range on other brands for axle nuts.
