DIY snorkle through cab for z1000?

Has anyone run a snorkel through their cab preserving their box space for a Z1000? I'd like to snorkel my machine someday but want to keep all the bed storage area.

There are some u tube videos on this subject I might try on my z1000.
The snorkel is already in the cab between the seats but should be moved higher
up out of the engine heat.
