ZForce goes into limp mode.
« on: September 18, 2025, 08:31:21 PM »
I have a 2024 ZForce 950 Sport. It started losing power as if it went into limp mode. When I stop, put in park,
remove and rehook the seat belt, it goes away for awhile. Brake switch or seatbelt safety switch?

No limp modes on CFM but there are RPM limiters like the seat belt, Reverse, 4wd or dif-loc 4wd, Low range on some, and of course the main limiter of about 7,700. I would think yours is having a seat belt switch or circuit issue. But..when this happens, look to see if the reverse light is on in the dash. That triggers that limiter in the ECM and indicates the selector switch is coming apart...not unheard of with CFM.

My 2023 950 sport kinda did the same thing and it was the seat belt, it was only 3 weeks old at the time and I had to fight the dealership to have it covered under warranty.
