Never use a K&N on these. Unifilter on the 800s only and as there is nothing better out there ..yet for the 950s, stick with the factory.

As for the K&Ns, they let 5 micron and smaller by all the time accelerating top end wear until they get almost completely blocked. Then this poor guy found out the pulsing from every intake stroke having a vacuum on the plugged filter flexed and fatigued the wire mesh and in short time split and open it up to everything getting through. He lost his top end in one ride. This also was a ZForce 800 EX. I strongly suggest you get the one filter tested and approved bu all CFM owners, the Unifilter, asap before this happens to you.

I learn stuff every day, didn't even no these things existed!  When I'm riding out here in Spain with my buddies a lot of dust gets thrown up and my air-filter always needs cleaning.

Do you have any recommendations on any that fit the Z1000? Where did you mount it? Any pics?
