My machine is one week old with 38 miles on it and 5.1 hours running, took it for first trail ride this past week, in the middle of ride we came up to a creek about 2 1/2 feet deep, we started to crosse about 75 yards long, water was below my exhaust, when got to other side oil light started to flash and then engine stalled, I started engine went about 3 feet and stalled at that point I told my son in law to tow me back to trailer, when I got home I went over machine checked oil and that was fine at level it should be, but noticed cat cover had breather tube coming out of it and not connected to anything up top, does anybody know if this is a design flow or dealer forgot to connect rest of tubing?? Also took out drain screw on cat and water came out!! No surprise there because breather tube that goes to it is not connected to anything!!!, anyway does anybody know what could be causing the oil light to remain flashing, I started the machine was idling fine got in put it in low rode about 50 yards and stalled, pulled oil dip stick and there was pressure came out, I turned key and started oil light still flashing, anybody have any ideas, going to dealer Friday. Thank you

Sorry, don't know. Do know that 24"s is deep enough to put a good amount of the engine and a fair amount of the electronics under water...and if it wasn't preped for that it could be a problem. Post a pic if that breather on the "CVT" cover.

Are you sure your pulling the oil dipstick?  Usually the trans has pressure.  The oils dipstick is the one towards the rear of the vehicle.

I’m not sure what you mean for the breather tube.  The tube behind the front seat is your outlet and it does not connect to anything.  The inlet is in the rear and runes to the side.

Thank for the reply, yes the outlet tube, I love the machine, the way it handles, ride everything about it, but I think that’s a design floor, just to terminate it there is stupid, water is going to get into it and screw up cat system. Cfmoto needs to address that.

thanks for that info, update took machine to dealer today, and right away he started with it’s my fault and I submerged the machine, I then showed him a video of me crossing, along with the other 17 machine, and it shows water never went above exhaust, he then changed his attitude and went over bike, and noticed Throttlebody has a tube that was not on all the way on, and he said that’s how water got in, he said that based on video and physical examination he will put repair under warranty. Thank god, was nervous that I would have to pay for repair.

yes it was from the oil dipstick, dealer said one of the pressure relief must be clogged or stuck , at least that’s what he thinks. But thank you for your reply,

Thank goodness for video cameras.  Can you post it?

If you look on Facebook there were a couple others that the intake wasn’t pushed on the throttle body.  If CF Moto really wants to be apart if the big four they better start checking their stuff closer.  Good luck with your claim.

What a perfect place to clean the mud off your machine after a days ride.
