I have a 2023 950 HO EX with 1,700 miles and am just doing a tune up on it.. I wanted to pull the spark plugs and read them and just replace them as part of the tune up but good luck getting them out. WTH?? I have tried every 16mm socket I have and even ground down a thin wall one as thin as I can get it and still can not get a bite on either plug. those of you that HAVE removed them, what socket did you use and does cfmoto have a special wrench for these that I don't know about? If they do what is the part # I'm looking for? Any help is appreciated. I love this machine and its been trouble free so far but tbo, this is really frustrating. General maintenance should be easy to access. Dumb design if you ask me. Thanks

Even on my 2015 you must use the stamped plug wrench that comes with the kit. There is no socket thin enough..other then a stamped one, that will fit...and ALWAYS remember to use compressed air to blow the trash and dirt out of the plug well before removing the spark plug. Otherwise it all falls into the cylinder.
Although I always use the one in the kit, I assume these would also work just fine.

Thanks for the reply! I tried a set just like those and even ground down the outer edge so it is round and can't go any thinner with it and still no bite? I didn't get a tool set with my 950. Do you happen to know what the part # is on your set I could probably just order a tool kit then I suppose.

I found a tool kit online for 60.00 part # 9AWV-200100-2E00 and it is for a 2023 950 HO sport but the plug wrench should be the same as the 950 HO EX correct? Hopefully that will do the trick. Thanks for the help my man!

Should be the same...$60..Fu*k....$10 bucks would too high for what you get.

Its only 47 bucks on Alpha-Sports..still too much.

I used a regular old spark plug socket. Took 2 min for the back one and about 15 for the other. I found the easiest way is to take the passenger seat out, remove the 4 screws for the ECU compartment and go to it. Its a little awkward but its better than the alternative. You will need a short extension.
