variator extractor screw
« on: October 20, 2022, 01:43:43 AM »
Hello everyone, I bought my new toy and I didn't get any tools or a car manual with it, according to what I saw in the videos, a screw extractor is required in order to remove the old variator belt and replace it with a new one. Can anyone explain to me which screw is needed?  And is the screw required or is it possible without it?

One of the two holes on the secondary is threaded to receive the bolt/expander. In the earlier models, one of the cover bolts works just fine. Its probably still true today. Yes, you will need to expand the secondary to remove the belt.
