turn singles on a 2022 zforce 950 ho sport
« on: April 20, 2024, 01:08:16 PM »
Well, here I go. New switch and flasher from cfmoto installed, front lights work. I traced the wires back to where the trailer plug in is have power there for break and running lights but no turn single power. Seems odd that there's no power for the singles in that connector. I'm using after-market lights for the turn signals.  Can anyone give me any advice on how come there's no power back there.

To my knowledge CFM had never included turn signal, reverse, brake power or 12 volt power in their trailer plugs. Only brake light, running light, license plate light(recent addition) and a ground.

For CFM I can only guess but maybe for on-road vehicles it's common to have all of it...but for off road vehicles with such a low towing rating I assume it would be rare to have a load or trailer wide enough or maybe tall enough to obscure the vehicle's tail lights so..they probably just don't to save a penny or so in production. I suspect when the US has as many that use theirs on road as they do in other countries they will also just include the turn signals as standard equipment here and they do everywhere else. If it were mine and I needed to pull a trailer a lot and on the roads sometimes, I would replace that existing plug with a standard 7-pin, put all that we use to it in the standard order, and wire-in the trailer's plug as the 7-pin male. That way it's standard for all.

I have a EU Zforce 950 Sport, with trailer plug installed (factory).

The know issue is that trailer has working position lights, brake lights, plate lights and BLINKER NOT WORKING IN THE TRAILER, but yes in vehicle.

The issue is a missing part. Exactly this part, that is connected near to acelerator pedal (you will see a black free conector)
7030-160602 Trailer Turn Light Control Unit (description is very concise)

You need to add this part (of course, the other wiring parts), if you don´t, your trailer turn indicators never will work.
