Seat belt bypass required?
« on: August 28, 2020, 10:00:05 PM »
I replaced the OEM seatbelts with 4 point harnesses.  I spliced the seat belt wires but I am still getting a seatbelt warning indicator on the dash display.  There didn't seem to be any other effect (no rev limiter engagement).   I'm wondering if maybe rhe machine is expecting some impedance or resistance.  Anyone else bypass the seatbelt circuit, and if so did you use a module like the ones on Amazon?

I did om my 2015. I honestly don't remember weather I had to connect the two wires or seperate them. I do remember it didn't work as I expected it would. Maybe try NOT connecting the two. The switch in the receiver can only do two things-make and break contact.

I just unplugged the drivers seat belt wire and unbolted the seat belt and no errors or limiting.

If u simply unplug it, the light goes out on the dash.   There is no limiter.
