I ordered my 2022 ZForce 950 HO a few weeks ago.  No clue when it will arrive .  Without having it, it's tough to answer some of my questions.

I am ordering accessories and trying to have everything ready for its arrival.   So far , I have in my possession, or have ordered the following..... Front windshield , rear windshield, nerf bars/rock sliders, front bumper, lower door inserts, side mirrors, rear cargo box.

From my prior machines I have several Rotopax auxiliary fuel tanks.  I have a 3 1/2 gallon , a 2 1/2 gallon and a one gallon.  I am thinking of mounting just the 2 1/2 gallon and the 1 gallon.

My question is , has anyone found a suitable spot to properly mount the tanks given that I am going with a rear cargo box?   I was thinking of adding a rear bumper if that would give me a good spot to attach.   I wish a Razorback Sherpa Rack was available for this machine!

That's going to be a tough one. Those that buy the CFM box for the 950 have built-in fuel cans like this: https://atvbox.eu/assets/images/products/177/photo-2020-10-11-14-44-49-(2).jpg

Others mount then to the back cage but with a rear windshield...that's out. Then there are those that buy the RotoPax mounts and attach then to the lid on their box..something I did once with negative results. With all that extra weight, the constant flipping of the rear up and down put so much stress on the latches and hinges it broke them. Better latches like the rubber straps would help. If you have room, maybe front or back.. or sides of the cargo box...BTW, what box did you go with? I too have some extra RotoPax fuel flats from previous machines. I still have two 4-gallon Rotopax and one 3-gallon Kempex. I can store the three gallon behind my box but don't usually take it. I let my two-one gallon RotoPax's go with the sale of my Brute Force. Should have kept those.

I bought the standard CF Moto ZForce 950 box.  Not the one with the cutouts for those fuel tanks like you have in your link.   I actually wanted that box and those jugs . My dealer informed me that he couldn't get the box, or the fuel jugs.     I saw them on EBay, but the complete setup (bought individually) was near $700.   Based on the fact that I had the Rotopax already, I thought I would make use of them.  I used the 3 1/2 gallon on the back of my King Quad.  The only thing I disliked about Rotopax was the "L" shaped bracket they sold for mounting their fuel cells.  It was junk.  It bent repeatedly and I had to weld reinforcements to stop it from bending outwards.

I am 100% on board with everything you said about not carrying the Rotopax on top of the box.   I just had a lid issue with the previous box on my King Quad.  I did exactly what you mentioned and purchased rubber straps (like those from a Yeti Cooler) to contain the movement and take the strain off the hinges.  I ended up re-engineering the hinges and using a length of 1/2" PVC pipe to replace the poorly designed hinges.  End of story. It never was an issue after that.  I sold my King Quad with the modified hinge knowing it wasn't going to be a problem again.

I wouldn't even worry about carrying extra fuel except for one trail system we ride.  There we often put in 150-175 miles per day.   There is only one place to fuel up when we leave the trailhead.  With all the altitude changes/climbs, I am not sure what type of fuel consumption to expect.  I assume I can guesstimate somewhere in the 15-20mpg range if driven civilly ?

I would guess 15-20 would be a good number. I know they get a little less then the 800s and mine's around 20-22mpg now. Maybe if nothing else you can slip one or two 2-gallon's inside the trunk. Never had a Rotopax leak before.

Agreed.  I never had one leak either.  The only problem I ever experienced with one of there products is the L bracket that I mentioned.

I am going to contact my dealer and readdress the larger cargo box with the fuel jugs. Perhaps one has become available.

A bit expensive around $700 for everything.The same company also offer a spare tires rack that I also mounted water jugs to. I've seen where people used this rack to also mount Fuel cans where I mounted my water cans. If you haven't already purchased your rear cargo and cans I would highly suggest this setup. It's very clean looking and I am very impressed with the results and ease of using.

Thanks for the picture and info.   That is exactly what I need to go with.   If you have any additional pictures, I would appreciate seeing them.    Where did you buy everything?
