The factory plastics on the sides do not appear to offer any real protection and would not survive some of the trails up here.

Those under belly plates look like a necessity, not an option.

Was on the ATV trails in Claremont NH last week, thank g i had the skid plates put on all 3 units, they would have been junked by now.
