Went to move my 950 out of the garage and no speedometer.  It's just reading 189 mph.  So I ordered a new sensor.  That's not a big problem.  My bigger problem is when I went back out to check the oil. It doesn't even register on the stick.  I just changed it before my last trip which was a 100 mile ride plus maybe 50 around the house.  When I changed the oil before I noticed it was down on the dipstick but I didn't think too much about it.  Not registering on the dipstick for around 150 miles is concerning.

How much does other cf motors use?

Shouldn't loose much. I change mine every 800 miles or so and it's always at the top of the stick where I started every time. Look for a case leak on the bottom...it's been a problem for the new cases.

X2. My 800 doesn't use any oil between changes.

Is it possible that you didn't put in enough?

I fill mine, and wait a few minutes, and then top it off. It always seems to take a little more after a small wait.

Yeah definitely put enough in.  It was actually a couple trips ago too but still no more than 300 miles.

Need to pull the plugs and see if they are anything darker then white to light gray/tan. What air filter are you using..being a 950 there isn't a Uni for it yet I don't think...still..its a CFM filter. Do you ride in lots of fine dust? How often do you change it?

Pulled the spark plugs off today.  The plug on the right is the rear cylinder.

I've put 2 filters in this machine both cf moto.  Not too many real dusty rides and I'm always out front with the maps.

I did have that evap issue as well.  I'm wondering if that has something to do with this.  The evap line runs to the center of the intake. When I pulled off the canister and drained it, it was straight mud.

I may throw my gauge on there just out of curiosity.  I did call CF Moto regarding this.  They said to take it back to the dealer and have them look into it.  He said they may do a good faith warranty.  However he also said that he would not be able to warranty it if it was cause by ingestion of water.   I questioned him on the recall for the evap and he said mine did not fall into the # of the effected vins.  I explained that mine did not have the tube on the bottom and was filled with mud.  He said it should of had one.

It would probably be a good time to check your machines and make sure the vent line is in place.

Put the new sensor on and it works. One thing down, now onto the bigger issue.  The dealer said to bring it in on the 29th so we'll see what they say.

I have to be honest here.  I really like the machine but I'm getting frustrated at the same time.
