Enclosing the cab
« on: November 30, 2023, 08:18:23 AM »
Last year when I picked up the 2022 ZForce 950 HO Sport, I noticed an inrush of cold air through the openings in the lower door. I got the OEM lower door kit to close this up. Then I noticed that the cold air was a bit brutal through the open upper door. So, today I ordered the soft closures for the upper door. I hope that helps.

I have already plugged the holes where the seat belts come up from the attach points on the frame (helps mitigate the dust). And I have sealed the area below the parking brake and shifter with rubber sheets attached to the underside of the center tunnel.

I'll keep you all posted when the upper door windows come in.

I use the heavier nets from Kemimoto (there are two kinds) for shade in the summer and they do cut down on the wind as well. I really like them. Most of the time I have them open but they are there when I need them. Kinda handy when running through the arroyos so you or your passenger doesn't get hit by the brush when bombing through.  If you ride around the Doña Anas you might see me out there with them. Machine is down now for clutch and new tires but I'm usually out there 3 or 4 times a week.

All closed up with those Kemi Moto soft door uppers. Took it out for a spin yesterday and it makes the difference. Even the wife went for a ride. The temps here were mid 40's and we were snug as bugs in a .... well, you get the picture.

So, I now have the entire cab enclosed and I think it will do for the winters here. Pics available if curious. I did watch the you tube video of that gent in Canada that put these on his 950 as well. That was my inspiration. Here is his youtube video.

Yeah, a few times a week usually. I'm close by Red Hawk on Sonoma Ranch. I get to the trails off either Red Hawk or Jornada.

Just an FYI. When you decide to do a clutch I have the secondary spring compressor and all three socket sizes. You're welcome to use them.
