Adjusting rear shocks?
« on: March 25, 2023, 11:13:48 AM »
Hello everyone! I am a new owner of a 2023 Zforce 950 HO EX and new to the forum. My question is do the rear shocks have to be removed to adjust the high and low speed compression on the REAR shocks? The front are easily reached, but the rear are way up in there and I'm having a hard time getting my big hands up there to reach the knobs. Is there a better way? Thanks for any help you guy can give.  ;D

Welcome. No shock should ever be positioned so as it would need removed to do any adjusting..compression, rebound or preload.

Thank you for the quick reply... the rebound on the bottom is easy to get to but the high and low speed are on the top of the shock by the reservoir like the front I'm assuming? On mine the TOP  rear shocks is way up under the rear fender and tucked up in there..

Wow...bummer. Post a couple of pics-one straight-on and one showing where it's tucked under.

Well.... I finally got them adjusted! I had to jack the rear up and lay under the rear and reach up from the bottom just behind the seat area instead of trying to go in from the rear tire and fender outside of the buggy. :-[ Still learning this thing but we went to riding this weekend at St. Joe's state park and my first impressions are : comfortable, PLENTY of power!, suspension is awesome for the price point of this sxs... and we hit some pretty hard jumps. So far I LOVE THIS THING!!  ;D

If you look at the CVT and air inlets on the side of the machine, there are three screws, you take those out and the inlet covers slide off and then you can easily reach the adjustment screws.  I can post pictures if you would like to see what I mean.

That's a great idea too, I did figure it out and just had to come up from below the machine instead of the side under the fenders. TX
