Thinking of putting the SuperATV 3 inch lift on my Z950.  The pros are obvious. 

What are the cons and what is involved?
Are there more parts to changeout like shocks and springs? 
Will this run the CV joints at too high an angle?
I have seen posts showing torn CV Joint boots.

In my opinion this is not a lift kit it is a spring compressor and takes away most of your ability to adjust the springs. I am going to order the 1.5 inch kit for mine after doing my fair bit of research.

Remember if you lift the machine 2" you will decrease the width by about 1-1/2" on the front and 1-3/4" on the rear according to them.
They reccomened that if I used their lift kit to also install 1" wheel spacers front and rear.

I called Perfex, they stated their lift kits DO not decrease the width, and will make it wider by the spacers you go with. If you put in the 1 inch wheel spacers, it will turn your 50 inch model into a 52 inch model. And this is important for those that love their 50 inch trails.

If you increase the height of the wheels above the ground and not increase the length of the control arms would you not decrease the width between the tires.....simple geometry.

That's true. On any double a-arm suspension the mid or center point of the arch is it's widest point. From there in either direction of travel the arch draws the wheel closer thus narrowing the distance between the two. That will be true on the front of the Gen-2s but.. is it on the rears with it's new setup? I don't know. On Can Ams with trailing arm rears, I have heard it does not...but that's not exactly what CFM did..right?
