2023 ZForce 950 Sport

I really like my new ride but there is one thing that has me very concerned. The reason why there is no parking brake. Especially when trailering. Sure you strap down to trailer but have always trailered in neutral. And still do but for safety reasons and using a Aluma tilt trailer posses some issues. I have had an issue with not being able to get shifter out of park because of having  SxS on a slight incline and you simply cannot get it out till you take the load off. I just think it is absolutely insane not to have a emergency brake. Which would alleviate binding the shifter when on an incline when parking on the trails even. Stop pull emergency brake then put in park. No binding on transmission or shifter. I have emailed CFmoto and haven't got a reply. And that was 2 wks ago....
Anybody else have the same issue?

Everyone that bought a 23 has the same issue...and the same complaints. I expect CFM to come up with some kind of recall and kit any time now.

That's what I was hoping for, appreciate the info. As it is a major safety issue.
Thanks again

My soloution is a 1.5x1 inch piece of lumber cut so it can be wedged between brake pedal and seat frame with brakes applied.  Haven't had a problem with it slipping off so far; however if I'm stopped for more that a couple of minutes on a slope I place a rubber wheel chock(Harbor Feight) under  the rear wheel.
Note CFmoto isn't the first company that did not provide a parking brake, Can-Am and Polaris made the same mistake on a couple of their machines.

I am doing the same thing. It is upsetting as we shouldn't have to try and figure a work around for a safety issue. I talked to customer service this week and he said he hasn't heard of any concerns but would pass it on to the team. Hmm interesting. So I am taking it that it will go nowhere. Guess I will have to "Ride with Compromise" -Safety-

Kman, I have the same machine as you.  I love it, but the no park brake is an issue.  I have had a hell of a time pulling it out of park on just a slight incline.  It would quite embarrassing to have to have someone roll your machine back and forth to get it out of park.  I hope CF Moto responds.  Thank you

The 2024s have the parking brake again.  At least CFMOTO listened to their customers on that and added it back.

I have a 2023 EX HO. It came with a parking brake. Biggest complaint is no engine limiter if you leave it on. Melted my caliper dust boots once.
I agree, trailering in park is a bad idea.

What about buying a wheel chock tie down kit? I've got one and it's awesome. You bolt the small chocks to the trailer deck. In front of and behind all 4 wheels. Then you can strap to the chock over the tire, so each wheel is strapped between the chocks and to the trailer deck.

Here, in Europe, we get (luckily) 2023 model with HAND BRAKE, but I think is due laws.
Too, with blinkers and I think a bit limited in power (euro5) -and 60km/h max, by law, but it can be "solved", due tractor consideration- where other countries is full power.
And seats are different in Europe with headrest ajustable (again, by law I think)

Beware of sharp wheels!  They will cut your straps.  I bought my 950 Sport G2 last year, and strapped through the wheels on a small flat deck.  I drove about 150km on the highway at 120 km/h and when I checked, both straps gone!  The wheels cut the straps, and thank god I had played with the park setting on the transmission (it doesn't go in fully unless you jam and wiggle it all the way forward while rocking the machine forward and back a bit), otherwise I would have had a brand new machine all over the highway.

If that parking brake offer from another post is true that is great!

I saw the same thing happening to mine and because I use a 1" strap I cut some old 3/4" garden hose and stiffed it through to protect the strap from the wheel. On my second set now because the ratchets wore out not the straps. So yeah...it does happen.

Looking at a leftover 2023 and I didn't realize this issue with the emergency brake.  Anyone ever seen or used the "spring brake thingy"

Friend of mine used something like that on his Wildcat Trail. It worked...better then nothing.

Got a text from my dealer that CFmoto is installing parking brakes for the  2023 Zforce 800 Trail, just let them know and they will let me know when they are in.  The same fix is applicable to the 950.  Check with your dealer. See Post "Hase anybody seen this" " for further information.
