2022 to 2023 changes
« on: February 22, 2023, 04:20:46 PM »
I don't know why this is proving so difficult for me to find. I can't come up with any comparison videos of what the 2023 models changed from 2022. I know 2022 from 2021 was a big upgrade.

My dealer has 2022 stock and the new 23s but the 22 is 3k cheaper. Trying to see if there's really 3k worth of changes or if it's a brighter screen and a blue color way.

This is for the ho ex, ideally

Not a lot has changed but Dirt Trax did reviews on the first ones and also on the 23s for a comparison. We have those videos but you can look them up on their YT site. Is there 3K worth of changes..not in my opinion but you be the judge:

I actually did watch that video and it was great. I didn't think about watching one from 2022 to compare, that's a good idea. You'd think cfmoto would have a list on the brochure or something highlighting what changed

This is my first zforce but many in our club have them, so the information below may not be correct since I relying on memory.
Changes from 2022 and 2023.
1. 7 inches longer 120" vs 113
2. Roll cage is not tubular
3. LED display above steering wheel
4. Air intakes for engine and CVT are on the side with "frog" prefilters.
5. Engine air filter is a Donaldson located behind panel behind passenger set.
6. Engine oil dip stick on engine just forward of the left rear tire
7. Transmission dip stick under a panel under the passenger seat.  Passanger seat is removable
8. Wider seats
9. Drive seat is adjustable forward and backwards. Drive seat is not removable without unbolting it from frame, but back rest is
10. No emergency brake
11.  USB port in compartment with winch controls just forward of the driver.
12. Rear storage area has "lock and ride" like RZR, you just have to buy the CFmoto's cargo box
13. Full doors
14. Switch for engine response labled Normal and Sport.  In Sport mode engine response is better, I guess Normal is for non-trail riding.
15. I'm sure there are other's but someone who has a 2022 or earlier would have to look at mine.  Probably will happen on our next ride.

Now the bad concerning aftermarket accessories that will not fit this years model due to roll cage bar changes. As far as I know.
No aftermarket windshields will work
Aftermarket side mirrors will not work
However CFMOTOUSA has accessories, just don't know lead time.  Ordered cargo box and side mirrors so far.
Accessories include
Full and half front windshields (poly) $399.99 and $249.99
Full rear windshield (poly) $299.99
Side mirrors $179.99
Cargo Box $399.99
HDPE skid plate
HDPE A-arm guards

A KWT particle separator is also listed for $499.99

That's a great list, thanks for typing it out. When I go to the dealer I'll look at the 2022 next to the 2023 and see what differences I can spot. The engine stuff and even the length are what I won't know about. Thanks!

Got the location of engine oil dip stick wrong (senior moment) it is on the right hand side (passenger side) not left

Remember, I believe that's the list of changed between the 2022 ans 2023 TRAIL versions, not the 950s.

Pretty sure my list covers the  800 and 950 Trail models and 950 Sport; however the 950 H.O. Sport and 950 H.O. Ex do not appear to have changed. At least that is what I see at https://cfmotousa.com/side-x-sides/zforce-series
