To my knowledge, all 2017 and previous do not store error codes so if it is still flashing, there is still a problem.

so does it clear itself after some ride/drive time then?

It clears when all problems are corrected. No waiting required.

Can you dump the code(s)?

I originally only got one which was for a temp sensor/switch an I put a new one in and installed a Manuel by-pass switch an that is all working as advertised. But I guess I will have to codes again an see what else its saying. Quick side note are the valves adjustable valves or shimmed

Valve lash is adjusted using a small wrench and a screw driver.
