Z500 springs
« on: January 09, 2020, 08:15:20 PM »
Hi guys, I ordered a set of 4 medium bandit springs for my Z500 for $199 plus &20 shipping I couldn’t resist trying it vs the cost of a nice Elka setup or equivalent, just wandering if anyone has installed a set on a 50” machine and if the cf shock works any better with them? Saw a guy on YouTube that installed them but never got to see him test drive it, any input is appreciated, thanks

Pure wonderful. You will be more then happy. I did it to mine and it rode like a Cadi compared to the OEs. Over time I did blow one front shock...not the spring's fault..and did replace the fronts with a set of Bandit's Gen3s. Pure gold as well.

I do have a front set of springs available to anyone who needs a set. I also have one good shock. I'll make someone a hell of a deal if interested.

Awesome, that’s good to hear, can’t wait till they show up, bought the wife a C600 for Xmas and was very impressed how it floated over rocks and bumps, got back in mine and it felt like an empty cement truck, no adjustment made it better, even tried the 2” puck lift so I could back off the preload and not lose height, no luck, thanks for the reply

Many folks in here have installed Bandit springs  with positive results, including me.

Search for  "springs" and you will find many posts on the subject.

Lol...that's OK..I'll move this to the right place. One side note..you won't need the Pucks. The correct height and preload adjustment with the Bandit springs can be done without those. They just make everything too stiff.

I got my bandit springs delivered today, can’t wait to put them in this weekend, but first, which ones are the rear? They sent a tall wide coil spring and a shorter tight coiled spring, tried to post a pic but didn’t work, I’m guessing the taller wide coil?

On the side of the coils there will be the rating. The 175s are the front and the 200s are the rear.

Be prepared to compress the front springs a little in order to get them on to the shock.

The rears will be easy.

Prepare yourself and your machine for a lot of dust if going up for the ATV festival!

Lots of trails, lots of fun, but lots of trail traffic that kicks up a ton of dust.

Good oiled air filter for the machine and a WolfSnout mask or something similar for breathing is a must!

Just to toss something in, I also used the Wolfshout for a while until a friend turned me on to one of these MU2 sports masks. Been using them ever sense.
