Anyone ever use SAE10W30 synthetic as oppose to SAE10W40 synthetic in this one?
Geeeez.....the latter seems not to be stocked on any of our local shelves - Canadian Tire/Walmart/etc  lol

Rule of thumb for CFM is: 0,5,10,15W40 is OK but shouldn't use W30 or 50, just 40. In a pinch and in cooler weather I suppose a 30 would be OK but take whatever steps necessary to use a 40 and one with the proper ratings.

Perfect info
tks NMK

My brain got locked on to using synthetic from my first warranty service bill.
I'm sure the dealer also told me at one point that synthetic is required.
Appears conventional oil is just fine.  Oh my my my...(:

Conventional oil is fine for average conditions but if you have been running a synthetic it's best not to switch back to conventional. Also with the loose tolarences on these Chinese engines it may be best to run synthetic in them anyway after break-in. Because of its reviews and ratings in the industry I use Castrol Power1 10w40 or Power RS racing motorcycle oil when I can get it. Not cheap at about 10-dollars a quart but it's the best protection I can give mine that I know of. I've never been happier with an oil. When I change it just it between 600 and 1000 miles...and sometimes that's two years or more...it's still about as clear as the day I put it in..just a slight tint...just enough to see it on the stick. Having double air filters doesn't hurt either...lol
