You can try ebay but a used CFM part isn't going to be worth much..or last very long...IMO. Another option is to get one from SATV and adapt it. Much better quality but there are some fabrication issues to deal with such as mounting and tie rod length..and ends.

I'm assuming he's talking about the rack.

Interesting, how many miles do you have on yours and has it been on some rough terrain? Have you inspected everything from the arms coming off the steering wheel, ujoints,  or where the shaft connects to the top of the rack?

Have you checked the splines on the shaft from steering wheel to the rack?

I had some slop in my steering wheel and went to inspect the arm from the wheel down to the where the arm connects to the rack. I noticed a lot of the splines exposed at the base of the shaft coming out of the rack and a fair amount of play in the knuckle. The bolt was tight when I put a socket on it to check, but still play. I loosened the bolt and was able to reposition the knuckle down further on the rack. I removed the bolt to check for damage and found some wear on the threads where they ride in the notch on the rack spline shaft.  I'm guessing the bolt was loose from way back, the knuckle over time began to slip up the shaft and because of the notch the bolt rides in, it prevented the knuckle from coming completely off and causing lose of steering and an accident. I wonder if that is what was the problem with Croman's ride??
