« on: September 26, 2020, 08:46:27 AM »
My mil4 light is flashing there is no pattern to just steady flashing . Any info I have says it should flash in a sequince to let you know the code number . The only thing I have noticed is that after it is warm it starts a little hard sometimes but always starts

The first ones didn't flash a code..just flashed even. To make them flash a code, review your service manual or use one of their readers.

Well it does mean there is a problem and it could lead to something else. Really should find and fix it. Besides...you can do it yourself.

Mine is a 2016 z 500 and in the manual it says it should flash a code . How would I fix it myself?

The manual I have for yours says it will only flash the code if in "Blink Code Mode" and for that to happen, pin #26 of the ECU must be grounded. Might review your service manual again as it also has all the codes and how to read them. Hint-the first of 4 is always zero and it's 10 flashes.
