Good evening - my 4WD drive switch is broken the red button broke off when I snagged it with a towel, and I want to replace the switch. I have ordered a replacement switch but I am struggling to see how I will remove the current one ... I tried removing the hood and storage under it but that seems too far ... it feels, but I. Am not sure if I pull 7 push pins and remove the black portion of the left front fender/panel I should be able to reach it.

I am posting this also in the ZForce 500 forum, this is a 2021 Zforce 500 Trail ... any tips on reaching that switch are appreciated

Yeah pull that panel. Looks like it's easy access after that.

Well ...yes removing the fender is my way of getting there.

In short, using a trim push pin removal tool, I removed enough push pins and 2 bolts on the front left mud flap to allow the opening to allow me to unscrew 3 Phillip screws holding the switch to the dash .

The cable connection is more behind the middle of the dash and I took of the hood and plastic tray under it to let me shine a light in there.

I was able to disconnect the old cable and plug in the new one , test the new switch from Curran RV (CF Moto Parts) and put it all back together!
