CF moto 550 problem

Hello,

I'm new to the forum and will soon hopefully become an atv owner so the first thing to do is get to a good forum :)

Have looked at one with the following errors/oddities.
It is a CF moto 550 - 2017
1. When you start the 4-wheel drive, it starts after a few meters but then when you want to turn it off, it doesn't turn off until you turn off the engine and start again, then it starts sometimes with rear wheel drive, sometimes it remains with all 4. it is not the same dimension on the tires back 12 front 10, can it affect because they think the owner does?
2. The EFI light flashes red with a spreader on it, it has done so for several years according to the owner. read somewhere that it can be some hose that has a sharp bend?
3. Sometimes the hard start button is slurred just like it has loose contact. he means there is a sensor under the seat that needs to be replaced (condenser type round)?
4. leaking oil between the engine/gearbox. The rod that goes to the rear diff where it comes out of the engine is leaking a bit, could there be a gasket?

Many questions but I think it can help many people out there who want to buy used just like me.

I think first from these types of problems that this is one machine that has issues and that a prospective buyer may do themselves a favor and walk away from. But to answer some of your questions...I'll try my best.
1. Although its is true having different diameter tires front and rear on any 4wd machine is just asking for broken parts, different width tires isn't an issue. If all are the same diameter then there will be a problem with either the actuator or switch itself..in most cases. If there is for some reason, stress or binding on the front due to diameter differences, it can result in the actuator being unable to move the slide out of the 4wd position.
2.For the EFI or MIL light to be on, there mist be a problem with the data being transmitted bu one of the sensors. Hooking up a spreader shouldn't have anything to do with it unless the spreader uses power in some way and that is either plugged into the wrong area or is using so much power the line voltage is low to the system.
3.Not understanding the start button but there is no sensor under the seat. Only button that supplies power to the starter solenoid and a couple of interlock relays that allows it to get that power when either the brake light is on or in neutral..or park positions. It isn't uncommon for the oneway starter clutch to fail though so if you hear the starter motor rotate and a squeal and the engine isn't turning over, look to that.
4. Probably just an oil seal and it is replaceable.

Is this a common fault on a machine like this? is it something that should be fixed or not? I have seen several such machines with the same error but people just drive as usual.
because it doesn't start is due to the start relay that sits under the seat, is that correct?
Should i be worried about the EFI light?
what can such an atv be worth? traveled 12,000 km model year 2016?

A Chinese machine with 12,000Km...or 7456 miles? I wouldn't even consider it. Get yourself something with some life left. JMO :)

Hehe ok so it’s so bad. Thanks for information. I have look at some else but everything used is so bad it can be. Buy something new is expensive here so I will see maybe i found something better.
I know that china is china but wich Chinese machine is best of them?

CFM is probably the best of them. New about half the cost of the other brands...but there is a reason for that :)
