Any differences between years?
« on: January 22, 2022, 08:49:22 PM »
Hi guys, I'm looking at a 2016 CFMoto Zforce 500 with about 1600kms on it for kiddo and was wondering what the differences were between the 2016s and any new models?
My understanding is not much has changed, other than possibly the seat belt from 5 point to 3.

Any other differences and what should I be looking at when I go to look at the 500?

2016 was the first years of the re-designed 500 and 500HO engine. Aside from a few small issues like oil getting in the air box and timing chain tensioner problems that were corrected by dealers, they are essentially the same engine today. Not much else has changes overall. The EFI systems are by a different manufacturer...suspension bushing premature wear was addresses with different materials, clutching got an improved secondary spring after 2016...minor things like that. All came with three point restraints only but the non-US models had the rear mounts for the 4-point as I recall.
