2016 Z500

Hey guys maybe someone on here can shed some light on some issues I am having.  I have a 2016 z500 with less than 150 miles on it.  During a trail ride all of the sudden my speedometer and odometer stopped working.  Made a note of it and continued on because the machine was operating normally.  About ~15 miles farther on the trail my MIL light started flashing constantly so at that point I turned around and called it a day due to not wanting to get stranded.  When I got it back to my friends house I checked the air box drain like I do after every ride and about 2 cups of oil came out.  I knew there was a recall on this so I called the dealer with all the problems I was having and he had me bring it in.  Dealer had it for over a month and when I finally was able to get it back it was late in the day and had no time to test drive it before he drove it up on the trailer.  Fast forward to getting it home and riding it around to make sure everything was fixed, got maybe 500 yards up the road and the speedometer went out again.  Turned around and at that point the MIL light started flashing again.  Called the dealer a few days later when he was open again and was told it was fixed when it left and that I should check all my electrical connections.  My machine is still under warranty but really don't want to take it back to that dealer.  Kinda disappointed in this machine as it has seemed to be down more than up since I have had it, and every time it has to go to the dealer I have to rent a trailer to haul it.  I have called CFMoto twice now about the issue and left voicemails but have never heard back.  Any suggestions?

when it happened again after the "repair" was there oil in the air box again or was that not an issue this time? It sounds like maybe they took care of the oil issue which was a known issue with the tune I think but forgot to check out the speedo issue. I am not sure where the sensor is located but I would find it, likely on the transmission or the rear diff somewhere and check that it is seated and connector is clean and attached. Maybe even check the connections behind the display, If you take out the front compartment (very easy) you should be able to get in there and at least touch the connectors to make sure they are clipped.  These are all know to have poor final assembly checks. I would check all the bolts you can reach for the suspension brakes and wheels as well as a good once over.
