Yes sir i agree, unfortunatly i do not have the knowledge to be powerful in conversation with ATVs i just dont know enough. Also i did get ahold of Timken and they are shipping me a replacement belt to compare with the old belt and also if they match will have conversations of getting there belt installed on the unit to make sure it would pass and run better than ever. Timken has a awesome customer support and willing to go the extra mile!

Who knows they may reimburse me belt changing fees.

Thanks.

When you put a new belt on, then you have to check the clearance between the belt and the drive pulley.
If you have not enough clearance you need to put a shim after the driven pulley.

Part number shim = 0GR0-050001-00001

If the clearance is to small then you have difficulties to shift.

Good point, makes sense i just do not have to know how to shim the belt correctly. Thanks for the part number and information! one day will be useful.

1. it sounds like you glazed your original belt, this is caused by excessive belt slip, generally a riding condition
2. the machine creeping likely means your aftermarket belt is too wide or the clutch is sticking due to aforementioned glazing situation (excess heat), its putting burn marks in your belt resulting in the low speed jerking situation
3. The sliders being worm was likely caused by continued use with the glazed belt, the glazed/burnt spot in the belt causes the sliding half to not run true to the fixed half resulting in premature wear of the sliders

This is exactly why i want to work with timken to make sure these belts are in correct spec. So i hope this would be great information and possibly get some answers with timken.

Thanks.

I have always trusted Timken and can't believe they would ever put out something that wasn't exactly to spec. But I guess there is always a first time for everything but something in my gut says it was something else.

Yep i definitley think i either got a wierd off size belt or possibly one that slipped by Quality Control. Timken is a great brand and the engineer and myself are going to work on this. He wants me to send them a cut of the old belt/old oem belt. and he is going to replace it ship me a new belt!

So cant complain.

if the manufacturer makes a change to the clutch and a corresponding belt change, the manufacturer of the vehicle has no requirement to inform aftermarket companies, CFMOTO could make a midyear change in the spec that could be retroactive to old vehicles but cause issues if the old is used on the new... just by nature of it being aftermarket, using those parts will have that risk of not being up to date
