Moving brake master cylinder
« on: July 29, 2021, 03:57:52 PM »
The wife is constantly complaining about the hand brake being on the wrong side(right)
Has anyone moved it to the left side?
A Polaris one should work. The problem is the banjo bolt size. I know Polaris uses a 10mmx1.00 banjo bolt.
Anyone know the size of banjo bolt CFmoto uses on the 2021 C600?
Also it is the style where the bolt comes out the end not the side.

So got'er done. Ordered this to just try it and it worked perfectly! https://www.ebay.com/itm/392754004195
Took about 20 minutes to bolt it on, swap the line and bleed it. Seems to be working perfect and wife is happy:)

Hey looks great, uitfeels weird on the right side, I think it is on the wrong side too. Does the electrical connection plug in or does that need to be modified?

Just curious if the brake light still works using a different brake master?

Yes it does.
The switch is located further down the system.

Does the brake master cylinder you used retain the parking brake feature like the stock unite has? Cannot tell from the pics.
What method did you use to bleed the line after install.

Thanks for posting this up, the hand brake lever is on the wrong side in my opinion.

Yes the one i used had a parking brake feature as i think most do.
Bleeding was easy. I just made sure to not lose any out of the line and pre bleed the MC. Just had to bleed it at the fitting and they are rock solid. Very easy swap.

I take it none of the “wrong side” people have ever ridden or intend to ride a motorcycle.

I have about 50 years ridding motorcycles. Street bikes.
My first quad was a polaris 700 and the brake is on the left, so i got used to it. The right side did not feel right any longer.
