Is sluggish normal?
« on: January 11, 2020, 01:49:28 PM »
New '19 CForce 600. When I hit the gas, it seems sluggish and doesn't want to go. Is this normal? It kinda feels like the parking brake is on. If I let off the gas, it slows down quickly as if I was using the brake. My old Polaris would roll for a ways before slowing down.

Is this normal, or does it sound like the brake is too tight?

Not normal. Check the adjustment on the parking brake.

As a quick test, I put it in neutral. I can easily roll it back and forth on gravel. So I guess it is normal. My idea of "sluggish" must need tuning!

Don't sound normal to me. Maybe something wrong with the cvt somehow.

My 500s goes forward when i give it gas. to me it seems like it wants to go forward without any sluggishnes on normal terrain in bouth high and low gear.

my cf600 moves fine when under gas, buts slows with the engine break system naturally, ya I'd check the brake system.

I don't know how many hours, but it has 56 miles on it. I haven't even gotten through break-in yet, and I have had to put gas in it twice. I think I need to loosen the brake a bit!

you can loosen the engine brake? mine slows the machine quite a bit, but to loosen it a tag would be great if its possible...?
or do you mean the footbrake.

Jack up the machine and put it in neutral.

If you can move the wheels easily by hand, the brakes are not tight.

You WANT strong engine braking. It's a performance and safety benefit especially in hilly areas.

It's either on or off depending on vehicle speed, throttle position, and clutch settings. You  "adjust" it in real time with a little throttle.
