Hey everyone, I purchased a 600 a couple months ago. It stays upstate NY. Anytime I try to start it when it’s cold it takes a couple of tries cranking before it finally starts... anyone have this before?

The oft repeated answer for this is "use thinner oil in the winter" and "let it sit with the key on for moment or two before trying to start".

Some have suggested having the ECU remapped for colder weather.

Some with 1000s have had to get their ECMs reflashed to get them to start better in the cold. Maybe this is an option for the 800 as well.
