Engine Oil Used
« on: August 24, 2020, 06:45:32 PM »
Hey guys what engine oil should I use with the CForce 600 Touring? The manual says 5W-40 for my area since I'm out west in the mountains at 7500 ft. Was wondering what brand to get and if there is any issues with screwing up the warranty based on the brand I buy.
Thanks.

Use any oil with the rating listed in your owners manual. If broke in you can use a synthetic. Many good brands out there. Just pic a major one. I use Castrol Power RS or Power-1 but many use Mobile1 or Amsoil or Royal Purple..many others. Some use the Shell Rotella T4,5 or 6 but that's formulated for low RPM diesel engines not high RPM gas motorcycle type engines with shared sumps. But many use it and has always been just fine.

I use mine in NH/MAINE, i like the Valvoline 4-Stroke ATV/UTV SAE 10W-40 Motor Oil,
oil for wet clutch, be carefull to get correct wet clutch oil or not pending your ride.
Its really inexpensive and has great ratings plus i can change it yearly for a super reasonable price..

In norway, cold weather. I use fully synthetic 4-stroke motorcycle racing oil 10w40 api sm, jaso ma2 certified. Thats because the wet clutch needs lubrication also. Also have installed a Defa pre-heater system on it, since temoeratures here can reach minus 35-40 celcius.
